Here are a couple of sources that may be of use to fill in some of the gaps in this article:

The article seems to have been made into a hagiograhy by a user. It must be hard to polish a halo when none exists. - Leroule (talk) 20:15, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Most of the puffery has now been removed. Night Ranger (talk) 23:05, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good. Probably a bit more work needed. I try my hand tomorrow. Also, I've just noticed a lot of the stuff was taken directly from here: http://www.ivanhoemines.com/s/Directors_Executives.asp?ReportID=376039 . I wouldn't be surprised if there were more dubious sources. - Leroule (talk) 23:33, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The last section on Gobi Sands cites questionable sources and seems to contain a quite slanted view of events. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.55.191.53 (talk) 10:20, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Lead too short

[edit]

The lead should include a summary of the controvery and criticism that Friedland attracts. Binksternet (talk) 23:26, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, being responsible for the worst cyanide release in the US is notable and should be in lead paragraph. Should even be in the first sentence, since being a businessman is not really what is notable about him. Probably needs filling out in the details too. - Leroule (talk) 23:39, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
