Blue Nile
[edit]- 'Lake Tana and the Blue Nile' (London, 1936). Mentioned by Alan Moorehead in 'The Blue Nile'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.85.2.56 (talk) 09:43, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
- According to Moorehead, Cheesman was the British consul in northeasthern Ethiopia (before the 1935 Italian invasion, I presume) and the first true geographer of Lake Tana and the upper Blue Nile. In 1940 he was in Khartoum in charge of the British intelligence on occupied Ethiopia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.8.98.118 (talk) 09:38, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
