[edit]I removed the material suggesting this man served as burgess from Gloucester County, as supported in neither source cited. I also question (but left in) the references to "Manakin", which is the name of a crumbling mansion not very far from Chesapeake Bay (a former home of one of the Lees in I believe Westmoreland County Virginia), as well as a Huguenot colony (Manakin-Sabot) established upriver of what became Richmond (at the falls of the James River). Controversy concerning the Huguenot colony occured during this man's lifetime, but it was not near Maryland, and the burgesses mentioned in the article I quickly read were William Byrd and Benjamin Harrison (I don't have time to disambiguate them).Jweaver28 (talk) 22:30, 1 August 2022 (UTC)
