[edit]Robert Keen was born on the same day in 1956. He has two daughters. He has a ranch outside of Bandera and lives in Kerville, Tx.
April 1, 2005, "Robert Earl Keen Day" in Houston, no joke! -MrFizyx 05:03, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
"Keen attended Texas A&M University, enrolling in the school of journalism." Robert did attend Texas A&M University, but he was an English major, not a journalism major. Lyle Lovett was the journalism major.
"In 1977 he rented a house from landlord Jack Boyett" is incorrect. When I first met Robert, he was already living in the house on Church Street during the spring semester of 1975. He was probably there for the fall semester of 1974 as well.

In what year was REK born?
[edit]Twice in the article the year is stated as 1956. In "Categories:" at the bottom it is listed as "1957 births."

- Based on the source provided in the article as well as [1] it appears to be 1956. The date was corrected anonymously a while back, but the category was not. Thanks for alerting us to this! You are welcome to make corrections to Wikipedia yourself by editing a page. EagleAg04 (talk) 20:43, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, your cited reference contains the same error. Initially listed as 1956 and later as 1957.3gatorbreath (talk) 21:30, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
- Oops, that source was derived from Wikipedia itself. There is another page on Blender (magazine) which supports the 1956 date[2] , and the Dallas Morning News has an article with the same[3]. It is all consistent with the original source [4], so I believe it to be correct. EagleAg04 (talk) 22:04, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
