vandalism
[edit]An SPA added a story about Gardiner ruining his happy marraige with gay lover, whose bedroom adjoined his. None of the references support this. An IP contributor changed the lover's name, a week later.
I strongly suspect it was just fiction, not based on primary sources, as they claimed in their edit summary.
