Triquel
[edit]"Triquel" is not yet a generally accepted English word. (A Google search, limited to English-language pages, finds only about 2000 hits, very few of which refer to "the third in a sequence".) I removed it. 207.31.229.4 17:45, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Image ambiguous
[edit]It's impossible to tell from the picture which person is Robert Charles Wilson. I, unable yo edit such things, ask that someone else fill in the information. 82.29.229.41 (talk) 02:28, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
- OK, attempted an edit, not sure of protocol, but it looks fine. 82.29.229.41 (talk) 02:32, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Edit request - Spin miniseries
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. The request was not specific enough. You may consider leaving your comments on the Talk page or escalating significant issues to the conflict of interest noticeboard. |
Hi! Not entirely sure if I have a COI here or not, so I'm going to err on the side of caution and use an edit request rather than add the following info directly into the article. Anyways. Wilson's Spin has been optioned by Universal Cable Productions as a miniseries. Rob Morrow (Bits and Pieces Picture Company) and Leslie Urdang (Olympus Pictures) are producers. http://io9.com/robert-charles-wilsons-spin-could-be-your-next-favorite-1588295823 http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/robert-charles-wilsons-sci-fi-710400 (Or they're executive producers according to http://www.thewrap.com/robert-charles-wilson-novel-spin-optioned-for-tv-with/) Jim Uhls is set to write the episodes, and SyFy will be airing the six-hour miniseries. http://variety.com/2015/tv/news/syfy-spin-miniseries-jim-uhls-robert-charles-wilson-book-1201406079/ http://deadline.com/2015/01/spin-miniseries-syfy-1201350869/ Wilson's own announcement is here. I'm also going to post this edit request to Talk:Spin (novel), since this info can go in that article as well.
I could swear I remember Wilson saying he's attached to the production as either a producer or an executive producer when he announced UCP's option at a gathering we both attended, but I'm having trouble finding confirmation. I'm going to go through my camera footage of the event and see if his announcement is one of the things I recorded. I'll upload the footage and update this request if it does exist. cymru.lass (talk • contribs) 08:56, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
- My personal feeling is here is that no conflict of interest of any significance exists. Provided any additions you make are properly sourced (and it appears that is the case), I cannot imagine anyone would have any objection to you adding this (obviously) relevant information. I would think it is primarily relevant to the Spin article, so I would suggest you add it there and summarize it here. -- Scjessey (talk) 15:37, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
- In my view, I would encourage you to edit Wikipedia content about your friend freely, if your friend does not know anything about your editing. This kind of scenario is why we operate on an anonymous model. However, if you are editing on their behalf, in response to their beckoning, or even as a favor to them, than a Request Edit is appropriate. That being said, this request edit specifically is not a good use of Request Edit, which requires the editor request a specific edit. You'd need to put together the proposed article-text rather than just pointing out that there's some information missing. CorporateM (Talk) 04:03, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
