[edit]chess is a sport? Thewriter006 (talk) 15:13, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
- No. It isn't.
Vmavanti (talk) 18:53, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
but it says so in that site. even on wikipedia it says so. so they are WRONG? Thewriter006 (talk) 15:46, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
- Wikipedia cannot be used as a source for itself. Are you under the impression that Wikipedia is perfect? I hope not. I don't care if you like chess. It isn't a sport. Please use some common sense.
Vmavanti (talk) 02:12, 13 March 2021 (UTC)- so why don't you edit that part in wiki? lol. besides wiki is not my only source. Thewriter006 (talk) 13:32, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- P.S. I don't like chess. i play chess960 Thewriter006 (talk) 13:35, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- I don't care. You are going to get banned from Wikipedia if you keep playing these games.
Vmavanti (talk) 18:42, 19 March 2021 (UTC)- Who decides all these anyway? I mean, why don't we just let whoever is in charge decide? Thewriter006 (talk) 23:25, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

1 - what happened to the sports section? 2 - why can't we say sports/pro gaming if it's such a big deal? 3 - again who decides all these anyway?
[edit]Came back here 1.5 years later after the 9LX wikipedia page incident. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Fischer_random_chess#RFC_on_Views_of_grandmasters_section
Apparently it's decided by a poll. So why can't we have a poll here? Thewriter006 (talk) 04:58, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
- You are welcome to ask for votes here. But the talk page of a disambiguation page might not be the best place. First, this disambiguation page looks fine right now, without any classification by occupation. So why make life more complicated? Second, the question of "is chess a sport" is eternal and is relevant to many Wikipedia articles, not just this obscure disambig page. Bruce leverett (talk) 16:17, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
