[edit]This sort of article should really be broken into:
a short article about the person (not "John Doe currently is" but "in 2003 John Doe became", a bit more future-proof), with a list of jobs and dates, plus any information about his/her personal things (scandals, particular tasks done, etc.)
and a number of longer articles for each position held, with job description, information on responsibilities, etc. "Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Public Affairs for the U.S.", "Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs", etc.
The original article here read more like a personal CV.
