Who made them?
[edit]This article is very light on the history side or even descriptive and 90% theory. Could do with explaining who likely built these roads and descriptions of what the roads actually are and where they went. 86.8.114.154 (talk) 08:32, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
I'm guessing it's these people, right? Ancestral Puebloans. That article mentions specific roads which aren't mentioned or linked from here such as the Great North Road (Ancestral Puebloans). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.8.114.154 (talk) 08:40, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
Also the name of these roads seems to differ slightly. The Ancestral Puebloans article calls them Chaco roads and in the Chaco Culture National Historical Park article they're called Chacoan roads, both of which sound a bit less awkward than Roads of Chaco. So that's the 'common' name for them? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.8.114.154 (talk) 08:44, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
And finally looking at that map the roads seem remarkably straight yet no mention of that in the article. Plus a bunch of stairs on there as well which would be nice to note. Did some googling and this article mentions the stairs and straightness (which it describes as 'the most significant aspect ') and also physical descriptions of the roads themselves https://www.nps.gov/chcu/learn/historyculture/chacoan-roads.htm plus the name here is Chacoan Roads.
