I believe this article should not be deleted due to the fact the band is an important part of musical history. Two of the band's members went on to join the infamous band The Cult while two others formed a band with a member of the significant band UK Decay. The band is considered an important part of the Harrow, London music scene as well as the UK-gothic rock movement [as documented by it's inclusion on no less than three "gothic rock compilations"]. The band's history has also been well documented in the well regarded book "Post Punk Diary". So under the Wikipedia:Notability (music) rules the band meets the criteria of #1 (covered in two books as listed in references), #4 (confirmed by book listed in references), #6 (previously noted in article and above), and #12 (John Peel session as mentioned in article). Notable in the Gothic community and notable on wikipedia are 2 different things. If Advent Sleep fails notablity on wikipedia then Ritual certainly does. Also, the Cult is not an important part of Goth music history. Hard rock or metal, perhaps, but Goth - not so much. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.79.241.3 (talk) 14:27, 2 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
