character article?

[edit]

Hello? shouldn't there be an article for a list of characters in Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? U know, show which characters appear specifically to this series as well as show the differences in the mainstay characters from their previous counterparts? Visokor (talk) 08:47, 23 August 2019 (UTC).[reply]

Depends on its notability, and it’s not right now. I generally oppose stuff like this, that’s what Wikia is for. HurricaneGeek2002 (talk) 20:26, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Air dates

[edit]

Why are some people ordering episodes by production date rather than air date? Don’t do that. HurricaneGeek2002 (talk) 20:19, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I've noticed that this is how most people handle articles for Nickelodeon shows specifically. Probably related to how this (instead of actual airing order) is usually the order that Nickelodeon has its shows on full season DVDs and streaming services. Alleged cancellation

[edit]

As with shows like Knight Squad and Cousins for Life, we need a reliable source to say the series has ended. We must follow the policies. The fates of series are controlled by networks, not the producers. While not likely, we could definitely get a surprise with the series being renewed for more episodes/seasons.

If changing the series to have been ended, please either provide a reliable source to support the claim, or wait a year after the last original episode aired (August 7, 2021). Magitroopa (talk) 05:57, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

And unverified social media accounts are considered not reliable... Such as Ant Ward or Susanna... (A reliable source can be a verified account like the official TMNT Instagram or Twitter which can be seen through the verification badge). Magitroopa (talk) 22:30, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ben Schwartz confirmed the series has ended.

"And when they ask “How bad ass was the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series?” The reply will be “Ridicously bad ass.” It was an absolute honor to play Leo in this series amongst a legendary cast & crew. Gonna miss this show. Thank you to the fans. See ya at the movies." [1] And1987 (talk) 22:36, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Just like with Henry Danger, actors do not speak for the network in regards to the fate of the series. An article confirming the series' cancellation, a press release, or a site like The Futon Critic saying it has ended/is cancelled would be needed for this. As at the top of this discussion topic, we could see Nickelodeon give a surprise renewal the series in the future, even possibly with new actors. That's why we need a source straight-up saying the series has ended/is cancelled.
While yes, Ben's Twitter is a much better source than the unverified accounts of writers/workers of the show, a post saying, "It was an absolute honor to play Leo in this series amongst a legendary cast & crew." neither confirms or denies that the show has ended- it can certainly continue in the future, even though that's not likely... More so, that would be a source confirming he is no longer an actor for the show. This is why we need a source saying it's cancelled/ended, or we wait one year since the last new episode aired (again, August 7, 2021). Magitroopa (talk) 22:51, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Episode List Clean-Up

[edit]

The list needs to follow WP:CRYSTAL, MOS:TV and other episode pages. We go by the series original broadcast order, not production order. Current production codes are unsourced and should have the codes from The Futon Critic. BaldiBasicsFan (talk) 23:35, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

but it's out of order! Legobro99 (talk) 17:03, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Airdate order is correct- just because they have a season 1 production code, it does not automatically go under the 'season 1' table. Magitroopa (talk) 17:07, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
but those six episodes are apart of season one according to many sources. Legobro99 (talk) 17:13, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
There have been multiple discussions in the past (such as Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Television/Archive 32#Production codes) regarding this. The general consensus is that we go by airdate order rather than production order- if you wish to know what the production order is, that is why the production codes are still listed. However, the primary order of episodes is based on airdate order and should not be changed unless agreed upon by others/there is a necessity to (which is clearly not the case here). Character page splitting

[edit]

Someone on the main page has proposed that we split the characters off into a separate page. Anyone support that idea? --Rtkat3 (talk) 18:39, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
