Origin of Rintrah
[edit]Not sure if there is a way to work this into the article, but Rintrah is a character who appears briefly in William Blake's treatise The Marriage of Heaven and Hell. He appears in the opening and ending stanzas of the first poem, "The Argument":
Rintrah roars & shakes his fires in the burden'd air;
Hungry clouds swag on the deep.
Another character in the work is Urthona. So it appears very likely that the names, if not the inspiration, for these two characters originates with Blake. Gatoclass (talk) 16:07, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'd agree; if we can get some kind of reliable source stating that the comics creators were inspired by the poems, then that would be fair game to use. 204.153.84.10 (talk) 16:50, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
