The Evans family were from Wales but for much of the dialogue Tim sounds like someone from EastEnders. I mean to say, where is his Welsh accent?
Another, albeit small, flaw is when Tim pronounces the word 'privacy' in US English. Some British people may do so nowadays due to the influence of US TV and films in today's world, but surely not back then just after the Second World War. Probably done deliberately via the director with the aim of appeasing US viewers who may be 'confused' by 'privv-acy' rather than 'prie-vacy'. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.45.103.0 (talk) 22:49, 6 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Well I did wonder about the Cockney thing myself, but apparently Evans adopted that accent to better fit in with his London surroundings. I thought it was worth including a paragraph about this in the article as it would probably have puzzled others too. This is Paul (talk) 22:02, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
