PhoenixJHudson

[edit]

Talking about the edits of PhoenixJHudson, to be honest, he made some good edits, but also mashed-up the article. We can have the whole synopsis in the notes. We just add the most important things about the videos. Although he made some good edits that could be back regarding the commercials. Will try to do something with that. — Tomica (talk) 18:23, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for not discussing but yes I agree, I did make good edits. I updated the whole commercial section and finished descriptions for Live Your Life and guest appearance videos and also I seperated the sections more clearer explanations. I also think the summary at the top of the page was much better. The only thing I think was wrong with my edit is the summary boxes. So if someone could just revert that edit and change the synopsis boxes or I will shorten them drastically, I would appreciate it. Sorry once again for not discussing, I will learn. PhoenixJHudson (talk) 18:26, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Can I re-edit the old version concising the summaries I made and then re-submit it to one of you? PhoenixJHudson (talk) 18:27, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I don't want to be rude with you and I really want to explain you some things. You made the lead HUGE! Adding some details which are not important. If a reader is interested in the certain video, he can just go through the table and find it. I really think that here and there the lead is good as it is now. Live Your Life's note can be a lot of better, I mean trimmed and only contain the main information. Adding the Loud Tour DVD where there is still not release date is not a good idea. Part of what you did with commercials section is okay. All the best and try to keep it better. And no, I actually thing that everything is good as it is now. I explained you. You can just create the commercials section and trim the notes. — Tomica (talk) 18:31, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

okay thanks PhoenixJHudson (talk) 18:40, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I don't mean this in a rude way but at least my summary had all of its references produced properly. 3 of the references now are broken. There are also grammar mistakes too. Could you not of just downsized my edit of the summary? PhoenixJHudson (talk) 19:31, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, but your edits made you references broken as I can see. Also the synopsis are bigger that the one in the song articles. I am reverting your edits sorry. I sad, don't add such big synopsis. By the way the commercials section will stay but I will make some changes.— Tomica (talk) 20:48, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Okay fine but you need to re-add the videos Talk That Talk and Where Have You Been, they had references. Also, do you have a reason for mixing the decades and featured videos all in one? It is very confusing. PhoenixJHudson (talk) 16:24, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Why to add them when we still don't know who is the director or when will be they released? Not need for that at all. And by the way, I was told to merge the videos in one table. That's they way the videographies now work. — Tomica (talk) 17:26, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, FLC generally appreciates one table instead of splitting based on time period or name. This allows readers to sort based on how they want the list ordered to easily navigate. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 20:25, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Request: Part of Me

[edit]

Doesn't Rih make a cameo in Katy Perry's "Part of Me" concert film?--mikomango mwa! 14:27, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I can't find reliable source that says she is appearing in the film. — Tomica (talk) 14:31, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why the revert?

[edit]

My contribution was removed, without explanation: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Rihanna_videography&diff=538074860&oldid=538068979Morning star (talk) 17:22, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There was not added a single source added in that edit, how come expect you having it without a source? — Tomíca(T2ME) 17:24, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Unless one suspected it of being malicious vandalism, it seems like a simple "[citation needed]" notice would be a polite approach. If one deemed removal necessary, a rationale in the edit summary would be courteous.
I learned of the video here. It is listed here. That Vashtie Kola directed it is asserted in her article. And one can see Rihanna in the video here (at about 2:03). But I'm having trouble finding any news reports, or official statements to link it to. —Morning star (talk) 20:39, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
All of which are very good reasons not to include it into the article, and good justification for the revert. You've been editing for eight years, Morning Star, and you know not to include material that can't be backed by a reliable source and to include citations. I agree that "don't add unsourced material to articles" would have made a good edit summary, but I don't see why you have any expectation that anyone would retain the material.—Kww(talk) 21:06, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I guess I assumed that retaining the material would be desired— given that it is manifestly true (though I did flub the year). What happens in a situation like this? Should her videography just remain incomplete? —Morning star (talk) 14:27, 15 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It should completely reflect all material found in reliable sources, so, some senses it will be incomplete. If all you can find is fansites, wikis, and copyright violations to use as sources, it can't be here.15:46, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
