The article only had three of the four characteristics of Tetralogy of Fallot, even though it's called a 'Tetralogy' and the article said, 'below are the four characteristics'... I added ventricular septal defect in there. M0rt (talk) 11:08, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- If you look at the history, you can see that an anonymous user deleted ventricular septal defect from the page just yesterday. Thanks for putting it back. I was planning on merging this article with cardiac shunt because it's been a small stub for a very long and isn't likely to change any time soon. If you're interested in the topic, you can do it yourself. - Enuja (talk) 21:35, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
Actually, there isn't much need to list the features of Tetralogy of Fallot here, since they are listed and explained in greater detail on the Tetralogy of Fallot page. The internal link is sufficient. What would be helpful is to list more causes of Right-to-left shunting, since TOF is not the only one. Transposition of the great vessels, Truncus Arteriosus, Tricuspid Atresia, Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Connection. Any of these can produce Right-Left shunts. I agree that this page could be merged with cardiac shunts. There could be two different subheading under cardiac shunts, one for Right-Left shunts, the other for Left-Right shunts. As it stands, this page is just a redundancy of information that could be better dealt with on the cardiac shunt page, after which, this page could probably go away.Mba123 (talk) 21:31, 14 May 2009 (UTC)Mba123
