Rico Suave

[edit]

I resent the accusation of vandalism. Metaknowledge clearly didn't check out the link supplied in the edit summary!

wikt:Wiktionary:Requests_for_verification#Rico_Suave supplies 15 sources for the term

was the edit summary reference for my edit.

Welcome to Wikipedia. It appears that your edit was a good faith contribution rather than vandalism. However, in a collaborative work such as this, where there are many thousands of contributors, it is important to follow established protocols when adding information. In this case, I'd recommend reading the notability guidelines for people. If you believe that the person mentioned in your linked news article meets the criteria, then it would be best to create an article about him before adding a link to this disambiguation page. See the Manual of Style for disambiguation pages for more information. Nick Number (talk) 03:17, 23 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, s/he claimed the Australian newspaper's definition of "Rico Suave" as a noun, was vandalism on Wiktionary, and I linked to the provided Wiktionary entry for the noun term "Rico Suave", from here, with a wiktionary box. I wasn't claiming that the person outlined in that newspaper was notable, but that there was a dictionary definition for the term on Wiktionary. The phrase "Rico Suave" has a number of origins, being slang in the US for a cool, confident Latino and ladies' man who dresses sharply (quote from the newspaper article, used to build the Wiktionary article) -- 70.24.250.26 (talk) 05:58, 23 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
