"playing the season's two out of three pre-season Ranfurly Shield matches" - no need for "the season's" and then add "the" before "three"
"progress though as a starting loosehead prop" - I have no idea what a loosehead prop is. Maybe link to Rugby_union_positions#Prop
"making it a seasons personal best." - should be "season's"

Gonzo_fan2007, I have fixed all of your comments. Just the first XV comment is the hardest to fix. I've added a link directing it to a section of the Francis Douglas article. "the top representative team in secondary school" is the best explanation I can give to narrate what "first XV" means. If it would be easier to change it to "team", then let it be changed.
