He's a former player manager. The article ought to be updated to state that fact.

why block this page?

[edit]

It is unfair to those that want to add stuff about him. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stilltha1 (talkcontribs) 01:39, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Since the page is blocked, I can no longer make edits. There are several changes that have been made, that defy belief. First, someone has edited my insertion to include grammatical errors. I would like to remedy this, but I am unable to. Second, the linking of "Nick Riewoldt" has been removed. Third and most importantly, the sentence related to alcohol has been heavily edited. Previously, I'd included something along the lines of "a variety of news agencies have reported that Nixon provided the girl with alcohol aBold textt the expense of the St Kilda football club". There are a variety of references in support of this, including "http://www.couriermail.com.au/entertainment/confidential/ricky-nixons-shame-over-afl-nude-photo-scandal-girl/story-e6freq7o-1226008441478". I'd like to see some of this information restored.

I'd gladly do this myself, but I can't.

I'm not sure where the drink driving bit came from, but it's entirely unsupported in the reference provided. Whatever the reason (whether it's a wikipedia vandal; a supporter of Nixon trying undermine wiki; or otherwise), I think instead that contributor should be banned/other users (like myself, with a user name etc) should be able to keep editing sensibly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DKiv (talkcontribs) 11:02, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

First - Let me know what the grammatical errors are and I'll correct them for you.
Second - As stated at WP:REPEATLINK, you shouldn't link to the same article twice. A link to Nick Riewoldt is provided in the section above.
Third - It was removed because it wasn't backed up by the reference, and still isn't. Where in that Courier Mail article does it state that the alcohol was paid for by the St Kilda Football Club? All it says is they paid for her room. Seeing as the same article says he took alchohol "to" her room, it would seem that it didn't come from her bar fridge. And if you want to edit the page, read WP:AUTOCONFIRMED to see the requirements, or post a message here using {{Edit protected}}. Just note that this page is closely watched now, so every change must comply with all policies, especially WP:BLP. The-Pope (talk) 15:31, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for your prompt and informative response. I'll investigate all the information you've provided when I knock off work this evening. I'm new to wiki-editing, and I would like to be as helpful as I can. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DKiv (talkcontribs) 23:56, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure what sort of security you run with this program but the comments above are certainly not from me (Ricky Nixon (Authorised)) nor are the comments from a purported Rickynixon. Your profile of Ricky Nixon is so factually wrong and outdated it might as well be taken offline. Firstly he continues to act as a Sports Agent. Secondly he is NOT serving a 2 year suspension. He was never suspended his Accreditation was evoked for 2 years which expired in May 2013 !!! As for your Controversies Section i'd suggest rather than referring to the gutless method of "a number of press agencies claimed" that you actually delete what you dont know is fact. What is fact is that Nixon was never charged with anything nor was anything every proved to be correct other than the media paid a pathological lying 17yo $250,000. Write that ! You also state Nixon in May 2013 was found driving unlicensed and intoxicated. Get it right again he was not unlincensed and he was not intoxicated in fact he was 0.027 half the legal limit. !!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ricky Nixon (Authorised) (talkcontribs) 23:33, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ricky nixon is a young man with a lot of potential and a glorious future in front of him who goess "toot toot" alot & has a batch of well-educated, funny & witty followers on social media, so you should unlock this page & let him do his self-promoting thing with out censorship or getting in his way as he returns to his role as the dark overlord of the Australian sporting landscape. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.161.31.224 (talk) 00:14, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In early October 2021 the AFL were investigating Ricky Nixon amid claims he sold forged Melbourne premiership memorabilia to diehard Melbourne fans. Victoria Police also addressed this matter and were investigating. 120.21.18.121 (talk) 23:10, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
