Once called Derry?
[edit]On an Oregon 1895 map, Derry is listed, but not Rickreall. Was Rickreall known by a different name previously? You can see Derry listed here on googlemaps. [1]

- No, Derry is a separate locale, though today it might be Rickreall's ZIP Code. Rickreall was once known unofficially as Dixie, though. Katr67 (talk) 01:26, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm. I just looked at the map and something is rotten in Rickreall. As much as I like Google Maps, this is one of the cases where it is wrong. Derry is actually here. As you can see it is east of Rickreall on Rickreall Rd. It was formerly a station on the West Side Branch of the Southern Pacific. It was never really a "town"; mostly there's a grain elevator and a smelly feedlot. Katr67 (talk) 06:14, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- Thus making Derry a "suburb" of Rickreall, yes? :) Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 09:29, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
Re:Oak Grove
[edit]Oak Grove, Polk County, Oregon, though today in Rickreall's ZIP Code, was formerly a separate locale (not really a town, I believe). So Oak Grove School isn't exactly in Rickreall. Katr67 (talk) 01:26, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
