"Merlin Besson"
[edit]This Merlin Besson thing sounds like a joke. Anyone can put an "citation needed" in here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.47.187.64 (talk) 13:10, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
- Hm, no. I think the kid actually exists. I did some research by myself and I found Khira's MySpace [1] (from Richard's) and there is a Merlin in one of her top friends [2] who happens to be born in December, probably (He is a Sagittarius). Looking at his picture, I see a little of Richard in him. He probably isn't mentioned as much in comparison to Khira because she's really well known for singing part of Spieluhr and she's accompanied Rammstein on some acts. --Hydroracee (talk) 19:46, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
"Scholle"
[edit]Can anyone clarify on his, what it seems, new nick name. I am not really sure if it is true. Can anyone give details. Tazz 20:03, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

Adding external links
[edit]I got a notice saying that an external link I posted had been removed and to discuss it on the talk page. I feel the link is 100% relevent to this page so may I please re-insert it?
Please feel free to review the page I would like to list :)
I am also posting this on the Emigrate wiki page if that's ok as it applies there too.

It's a single page that basically says "coming soon" and it's a fansite to boot - what is the advantage of adding that to a wikipedia article? --Fredrick day 22:28, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
It will soon be a collection of factual information regarding the band that this artist is in much like many links on wikipedia. For example the fan page listed on this page already.
It will include a band history and information regarding all aspects of the music such as releases, member biographies, etc. I just though it was a justafiable link because it would contain further factual information.

Amps
[edit]What amplifiers does Richard use? ItSawGood 04:33, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
I was just wondering the same thing, as I have read from the Ultimate Guitar forums (not very credible, I know) that Rammstein uses ENGL amps. However, the article states that he uses Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier AND ENGL amps. Different tours, different songs or both at the same time? Or maybe clean from one and distortion from the other? 212.213.90.10 (talk) 22:35, 8 December 2007 (UTAH) i know that Richard uses the rammfire by native instruments to capture his cabinet and for his rectifier
Chronology birth of rammstein , fall of berlin wall
[edit]eventually ended up in West Berlin and started a band in 1991 (Orgasm Death Gimmicks). At that time he was very influenced by American music. After the wall came down, he moved back home to Schwerin
This seems to suggest that the wall came down after he started that band, thus in 1991 or later.
Yet the Berlin_wall fell in 1989. (EDIT: You said 1990 ;) you're welcome)
The fall of the Berlin Wall paved the way for German reunification, which was formally concluded on October 3, 1990.
So I guess there is either something wrong with the birth year of 'Orgasm Death Gimmicks' , or the wording of that sentence ?

"Zven"
[edit]There is no such name as Zven existing in Germany (although there is "Sven" existing) and German naming laws would not permit such a homemade name. Kruspe definitely does not wear this name legally in any legal papers. It should be made clear it is a nickname or pseudonym. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.88.127.11 (talk) 20:18, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
- "German laws wouldn't permit a name/spelling like Zven" – I wouldn't bet all my money on that! Sounds like you're from Germany as well – ever heard of Kevinismus? It may have become a phenomenon only recently, but as a fellow "Ossi" I can confirm GDR laws did permit spellings like Krystin, Anabel and Nathaly way before the Wende. A name like Zven doesn't seem much weirder to me than these.
- That being said, I came here to inquire about his birth name too – there are at least half a dozen versions ("Richard Zven", "Richard Sven", "Sven" only, for example) all over the internet. Apparently sources used to be very contradictory regarding his place of birth as well, but the Prignitzlexikon checked birth registrations and was able to clarify this, so these guys should know his actual name, but if it wasn't "Richard Zven Kruspe" wouldn't they have added that to Wikipedia too? And as we all know, everybody is famous in a small town, so I don't really get how there is so much contradictory information regarding his birth name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.116.162.109 (talk) 20:19, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
- His birth name was "Sven": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=By8kfo8qSkQ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:810A:133F:CC8A:DD60:35A5:C8DD:E556 (talk) 12:56, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
- There is no such name as Zven in Germany. He was born as "Sven Kruspe" and is also credited as Sven on the first album of First Arsch (Saddle Up): https://www.discogs.com/de/First-Arsch-Saddle-Up/release/1108144 http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-V0-WW5ojf74/UkS0eOWuCRI/AAAAAAAAAuM/XSApToPcj2g/s1600/f1982337184.jpg — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:8108:4640:800:A856:4361:A3CD:F5F9 (talk) 18:36, 28 March 2019 (UTC)
- He was asked about and stated, that he was born as Sven and changed in Richard, so this
shouldmust be corrected. ( See here: Wikipedia - Truth or Fiction at 0:58). To discuss if a name would be possible is not the point. Also the standing in Birthregister doesn't follow up the actual stand. He stated clear: thats an error in Wikipedia. And look how the error was spreaded. The typing Zwen / Zven is more like an english speaking person would write down the german pronunciation of Sven. --Gunnar.offel (talk) 14:36, 12 October 2019 (UTC)

Charlotte Bossieux
[edit]There is no source documenting this. Kruspe stated in a Gauntlet interview that his baby was due in September. He didn't say who the mother was either.
AW-500 Közi signature?
[edit]Did Richard really used this guitar? I've been looking for information for months about this and there's nothing on the web, only a picture (photoshop?) while he is holding the guitar. In what tour did he used it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 187.209.242.76 (talk) 18:06, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
Wikipedia review from the man himself

Here is Kruspe himself being read his Wikipedia article, whether it's fact or fiction. Use this to clean this article up. :-)
Siblings
[edit]"He has two older sisters and an older brother, Gordon." He himself said multiple times in several interviews (f. ex. "Wenn die Seele trauer trägt" 2010 on a Germam TV station, that interview is partially online) that he has 2 siblings: one older brother and himself being the second born. He doesn't mention any sisters, and isn't the 4th. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.181.69.167 (talk) 19:09, 14 December 2019 (UTC)
Wittenberg or Wittenberge
[edit]In the youtube video "Rammstein's Richard Kruspe - Wikipedia: Fact or Fiction?" 1:26 second in the video, Richard Kruspe say he was born in Wittenberg without the e at the end. I won't modify the main article but it seems wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pascalganaye (talk • contribs) 13:55, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- nah its correct, here he says he was born in Weisen, which is a village near Wittenberge: https://web.archive.org/web/20170213165148/https://www.rockhard.de/megazine/heftarchiv/256/schwatzkasten/47449.html Urgal (talk) 14:04, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
PROD 21 Aug 2021
[edit]I'm not knowledgeable about the subject of the article, and it certainly has issues that remain to be resolved, but today's PROD seems suspect and I intend to challenge it. I'm open to a discussion about deletion or modification, but a PROD by a blocked anonymous IP address is not the way. Additionally, I implore any interested watchers to work on improving the article ASAP. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tkiehne (talk • contribs) 18:28, 21 August 2021 (UTC)
