Hi all, I did significant revisions to this page as part of a WikiScholars course. I've added a number of additional citations that are more scholarly in tone, provided Wikilinks where relevant, expanded the sections describing his relevance to LGBT sexual cultures of the 1980s and 1990s, and greatly expanded his late-career HIV/AIDS activism, for which he was fairly well-known. Citations are still needed for some of the personal anecdotes that were originally in the article; some I have found references to, but others seem very personal and difficult to source. They will eventually need to be deleted if they cannot be sourced. I will check back on the page, and hope to be adding what I can find to better credit and source.
