[edit]BISMARCK, ND, December 28, 2008 – The two-time defending NBA Development League Central Division Champion Dakota Wizards announced today that they have acquired forward Richard Hendrix from the NBA Development League official player pool.
Hendrix, a second round NBA draft pick (19th pick) by the Golden State Warriors was assigned to the their D-League affiliate the Bakersfield Jam playing in nine contest while averaging a double double 13.9 points and 10.9 rebounds. The 6’9 255 forward from played his college ball for Alabama.
Hendrix will make his first appearance for the Wizards tonight at the Bismarck Civic Center when they take on the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Hendrix will wear jersey number 33.
