Probably corrected some details

[edit]

[1]. As said there the Robert article says his wife's name was Caroline and I'm fairly sure it's right since [2] gives the same name unless this is some middle name as first name etc issue. And while I don't know for sure who was the other participant in the duel, if it was the father in law that was Edward not George. George was ~5 at the time of the duel. But this seems to be a mistaken attempt to correct the link here [3]

BTW, one detail which the above source and [4] lists makes me think this article's list of his children is incomplete. There were rumours that Henry Gerald FitzGerald who was raised by Robert and Caroline and then later killed by Robert in questionable circumstances was actually Caroline's illegitimate half-brother which I'm pretty sure means on her father's side i.e. he would be a child of Richard. Another claim is that Henry is the illegitimate son of George, Richard's elder brother which okay means there's nothing wrong with this article. But there's a more recent claim that Henry was the illegitimate son of Caroline's half-brother who died without legitimate issue. But this can't be Gerald, the only half-brother we mention here (although we don't say there was only one) since he had legitimate issue, again I'm assuming this must be on the father's side. (I do wonder if the Mary Wollstonecraft source is confused and the only son Mary Wollstonecraft referred to was Gerald father of James FitzGerald not the Henry Gerald who was killed. But that doesn't affect the other half-brother issue unless it turns out son of George claim is correct.)
