Lack of citations

[edit]

The whole area where the actual events of Flemming's sacrifice is spelled out (and a potentially accurate version is debunked) is completely lacking of citations, even in areas where dubious and specific claims are made.

Japanese records accurate?

[edit]

Given that the Imperial Japan's military often covered up information and lied about other things, how is it that Japanese records of hits to their ships are unquestionbly accurate, even in the chaos of battle and massive explosions? How do we know that their records are so accurate that they are more credible than the first-hand accounts of both Flemmings' wingman and Japanese crewmen of the Mikuma? And it seems very unlikely that the torpedo mounts of the Mikuma just exploded of their own accord when, according to the mentioned records, no damage from aircraft was sustained that day.
