Botanic Gardens

Sheridan was one of the founders of the Maryborough Botanic Gardens (aka Queen's Park). His obituary in Maryborough where he spent many years, says "our pretty botanic gardens". It seems that other obituaries misinterpreted this as "Brisbane's botanic gardens" (which were probably better known than Maryborough's) and this has then seeped through to subsequent biographies. So I am just documenting this here so nobody will reinstate the Brisbane Botanical Gardens. Kerry (talk) 21:37, 24 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
