I am currently reading "Record Makers and Breakers: Voices of the Independent Rock 'n' Roll Pioneers" by John Broven,University of Illinois Press, 2009, ISBN: 9780252032905 and it lists Barrett's birthdate as July 14,1933 in Philadelphia,PA. (reference appendix F, page 498). As that book was sourced in large part through original research via in person, faxed or email interview, this may be more accurate date. Per appendix G (page 504), Brover had contact with Barrett via a letter haxed July 28,2003 to Barrett in Gladwyne, PA. GBrady (talk) 15:15, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I was surprised to find this under the name 'Richard' as I only knew of his record, 'Some Other Guy', as 'Richie'. But maybe that's just me. Move? Rothorpe (talk) 20:26, 29 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
