Article reads like an advertisement
[edit]Origin of this article is a direct translation of the French article, which was created by Jeje64 of French Wikipedia, who has a poor vandalism rating. The original article, weirdly enough, appears to be stolen from an obscure French humor website.
Marking this here so I can change this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by NigeriaNoKamisama (talk • contribs) 16:01, 8 June 2020 (UTC)
Resolution to Flagged Problems
[edit]- The original article of "Ricard" had many problems, summarised on the "Ricard" 'Wikipage' as follows: -
This article has multiple issues. Please help improve it or discuss these issues on the talk page. (Learn how and when to remove these messages)
|
- I have attempted to remedy those problems with a substantial re-write of the 'Wikipage', whilst still keeping the intention of the initial page. The problems tackled were: -
- 1) Tone - I rewrote the 'Wikipage' so that it sounded less like an advertisement.
- 2) Evidence - I found a number of articles supporting existing facts and I also was able to evidence new material to add to the 'Wikipage'.
- 3) Restructure - I have restructured the page so that it resembles the structure of similar 'Wikipage's about alcohol products.
- As I have made a number of major changes to the 'Ricard" 'Wikipage', I am removing the old "Multiple Issue" warning left on that 'Wikipage' some 5-6 years ago. If anyone feels these "Multiple Issue" warnings are still valid, then let's discuss it here, and I am happy to revist this deletion.SMargan (talk) 15:42, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
Just a note, but under cocktails there is "Ricard Tomate" and "Tomate" which are the same ingredients. Not sure which to remove or how best to merge so hoping someone else does. =) Jericho347 (talk) 04:13, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
- The Cocktails section seem largely American (I don't think anybody in France uses fluid ounce measurements). I'm sceptical about the need for the section anyway, given that only a tiny amount of pastis production is used to make weird cocktails which almost nobody drinks. --Ef80 (talk) 17:19, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
