Please see Wikipedia:Citing sources#Inline citations, Wikipedia:Citing sources#Parenthetical referencing, and Wikipedia:Parenthetical referencing. I am curious to know what you think is "unordered" about the reference list in this case. By intention, at least, it is ordered alphabetically by author surname. If there had been more than one item for an author, they would then be subordered by year of publication. More particularly, the style used here follows one of the preferred formats in the Chicago Manual of Style.—Jerome Kohl (talk) 17:30, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
