This article was redirected without discussion from what I can tell. The edit was made with the spurious "Dictionary defintion", even though there are many references to the term on the site. --Ashawley (talk) 19:00, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

References don't a dictionary defintion undo. It's a dictionary definition, as in, it isn't a unique topic. It's computer software that is sold retail. The bulk of the article is fattened up by speculation (most retail software is) and meaningless lists (including famous programs like...). I'm turning it into a redirect again as that is the obvious action, none of the information will be lost and you can undo it when you turn it into a topic as opposed to simply becuase there was "no discussion" when one isn't neccessary. - Jimmi Hugh (talk) 16:44, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This article isn't even marked as a stub. You also deleted reference material. If you feel it is, maybe you should add the stub template in hopes of other editors finding whether it's worthy of an article or not.

You're making an argument about etymology, but you should really try researching the subject and letting us know what you find. This topic could be expanded.

I know one aspect of the phrase "retail software" that needs to be mentioned, but isn't currently. What is it? --Ashawley (talk) 17:39, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, now you're just being a vandal. Retail software is not a topic, it's a label for computer software that is on retail. You also vandalised my edits which removed unencyclopedic information. It is for this that I know you have no interest in improvement, only in undoing my actiion. I repeat, unless you find a source that actually defines this as a topic and not the label it actually is, it will continue to be a redirect. Deleting referenced material I did not. I turned it into a redirect, and as it's a label and the source refers to the label of a very specific area of computer software which isn't a topic, it has no encyclopedic content to merge. - Jimmi Hugh (talk) 12:43, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Don't bother labeling me a vandal, you are the one deleting material and making redirects. What is wrong with an article about the phrase "retail software"? If you don't have anything to contribute, which is clear you don't, then just walk away from the article and let others develop it. You have no evidence that this is a confused or nonexistent term, you just have your own argument making. --Ashawley (talk) 04:22, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
