Name

The Federal Register list of tribes was published on January 8, 2024. The tribe formally changed its name through a vote on May 8, 2024.[1]. Reverting the article back to the previous name which the tribe voted away from is incredibly unhelpful. Yuchitown (talk) 01:20, 9 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The Rancheria wants to change their name and has voted to do so. However the federal registry is not just a list, it is federal law. A vote by a tribe is a proposal. Any name change must be approved by the federal registry, otherwise, it isn't a legal change. Awesomeness.Esq (talk) 09:30, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
