Salvaging this article
[edit]I am not sure what this article is supposed to be about based on what is written now. Its not sourced very well and lacks context. Can it be re-written? —Gaff ταλκ 02:53, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
I am in the middle of putting it up. It will be done tonight. This is the first time I have used Wikipedia so it is slow going. There will be references, I just haven't figured out how to put them up.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Flying mermaid (talk • contribs) 22:23, May 24, 2007
- Do you happen to be posting this for a class project?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 169.233.59.58 (talk • contribs) 23:05, May 24, 2007
Do you go to Santa Cruz and is it for conservation Biology? - Noah—Preceding unsigned comment added by 169.233.59.58 (talk • contribs) 23:21, May 24, 2007
- Yes. It is for Conservation Biology. And now it looks absolutely nothing like what I posted.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Flying mermaid (talk • contribs) 23:51, May 24, 2007
- That's the nature of a collaborative effort like a wiki. :) --ElKevbo 05:00, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
I created the Reserve Design page for ENVS 120 at UCSC. If there are other people in my class who decided to edit this page and call it their own insead of creating a new page, they should be ashamed of themselves. I printed out a timestamped version of this page before it was edited that proves that I created the page. Editing someone else's page for this project instead of creating your own is jacked. References
[edit]The references need to be more than author and year. What are the titles, page numbers, etc? I have asked the contributor on their talk page as well. —Gaff ταλκ 16:23, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
Within the article we can see some examples of different places around the world that have reserves, nevertheless, it would be a good idea to have more information about them to provide a bigger picture of how they work around the world. Having more information about this will enrich the article. Knowing a little more about the history of reserves in Asia and what techniques for preservation are being used could be necessary to create a sense of openness within the article. This doesn't mean that every reserve throughout the world has to be covered, but more variety would make the article less biased. Claarissaa (talk) 17:47, 30 September 2024 (UTC)claarissaa
