Is this really the only use?
- No. Research reports are also used by governments (notoriously!), universities, and non-profit organizations. This article is far too limited to the business research report. Kaijan 12:25, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
Listing analysts?
Why are the names of research analysts being included beside the companies they work for? These people are not themselves notable beyond being employees of the company and do not merit inclusion on this page (those linking to active pages are other people with the same name, in one cse long deceased!). These companies often employ 100's of people in this role, there does not appear to be any reason to include these names over their peers, or at all. Spam linkage
[edit]2/3's of this article seems to be external links to firms—these do not seem informative per WP:EL, just advertising. I am considering deleting these sections en masse, but pause here to ask if anyone can suggest a better approach. / edg ☺ ☭ 15:06, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
