"Best film of 1984"

[edit]

Are there any reliable sources that say this, are this depending on just a few blogs and the IMDb? NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 09:56, 10 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it was listed as the best, but one of the best. --evrik (talk) 14:16, 10 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
And so why are we reporting that the IMDb – which is explicitly listed in WP:UGC as an unreliable source – and some blogs consider it one of the best films of 1984? What reliable sources say this? Variety? The Hollywood Reporter? NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 14:20, 10 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The line is question is:

"Repo Man" garnered widespread praise upon its release, and is widely considered to be one of the best films of 1984.

Looking at "Repo Man". Rotten Tomatoes. There seems to be a lot of support for that statement. What exactly are you looking for? --evrik (talk) 14:56, 10 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If you're addressing that to me, I didn't touch your comments. --evrik (talk) 14:56, 10 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Greeking?

[edit]

'Repo Man' has some of the most-hilarious / -obvious 'greeking' ever done in a film (cans reading 'beer' and 'food', e.g.) ... It seems like there's probably an interesting story behind this production choice / necessity ... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.200.126.73 (talk) 19:14, 20 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Alternate endings

[edit]

In one version of the movie script, the Rodriguez brothers open the trunk to see what is in it, detonating a bomb causing Los Angeles to go up in a mushroom cloud, per https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HI2NtuEBUPISbmeirowTalk12:57, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
