List needed
[edit]It's great that this lists the instances where instant replay can be used, but far more useful to the casual football fan would be a list of the cases where it cannot be used. This would be helpful when someone in the room is yelling "Why don't they challenge?", so that they could see that the call could not be challenged. HuskyHuskie (talk) 04:50, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
- Well, in general the main category of non-reviewable calls are penalties, which depending on you look at it is either many situations or only one. Otherwise, if the coach has the option to request a review, then there is an element of strategy as to whether or not he request a review. Wschart (talk) 01:04, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
NFL pass interference not review-able
[edit]As per the 2011 NFL rulebook (page 98-99). Removed it from the list. Preludeoflight (talk) 22:42, 20 November 2011 (UTC)
60 seconds to review
[edit]Should this be included without any mention that refs never adhere to that 60 second limit? Very briefly when replay was brought back in 1999, they used to talk about being on the clock for replays and the TV broadcasts would put a timer up. But after it quickly became evidence that they would go over by several minutes at times, the NFL made the TV broadcasters stop putting that timer up to avoid embarrassment. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.205.245.177 (talk) 09:00, 13 June 2014 (UTC)

Need links to NCAA rules
[edit]The entire NCAA subsection doesn't contain a single citation. Given the general lack of public knowledge on the subject it would be useful to reference something official for verification and to avoid the whole "anyone can claim anything on wikipedia" argument.
