Proposed merger

[edit]

An editor has proposed the merger of the Amfibus article into this one.

  • Oppose It is not certain yet that the Amfibus will enter service. Should it do so, it cannot be seen as a direct replacement of the ferry, as it will also serve places that the ferry never did. Mjroots (talk) 22:24, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose This Amfibus is a worldwide unique kind of transport and it is to be the first usage of such bus-boat as line transport vehicle. It is very more notable than one ferry. But we should consider whether the word "amfibus" is a name of some specific project or it should be (or will be) a common term for all amphibious buses. --ŠJů (talk) 03:33, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose but include mention/link in this article. Finavon (talk) 00:15, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed the merge to tag from the Amfibus article. It's been five months since the original proposal and there has been no support for it. Therefore I conclude that the two articles should remain separate. Mjroots (talk) 21:02, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
