[edit]What is 'friction' in relationship to an electron? An electron moves in the "free space" between particles, until it collides with something. Friction is a constant force, while collisions are stochastic. 84.245.7.73 (talk) 20:05, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

Is there any reason this is not part of the runaway electrons article? I believe the same physics is being discussed. Certainly, the topic here is what is being discussed in fusion articles, and they use the simpler heading. Maury Markowitz (talk) 19:07, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
