Under 'Causes', this statement, "By adopting a non-smoking lifestyle after being diagnosed with Reinke's edema, it is possible to stop the disease's progression, although it is not possible to reverse it.", I have personal experience in this (hence me not updating the wiki myself) that there are a couple of possible treatments to cure it. One is vocal exercises (they didn't work for me because my vocal cord was failing 100% of the time) and the other is a steroid injection by an ENT surgeon into your vocal cord. My personal experience is that the steroid injection into my vocal cord MOSTLY didn't fix the issue, but now that I am able to create the correct sound from my left vocal cord SOME of the time if I keep the volume down to a very very low level, I can sing the correct notes, so I can recommence the vocal exercises to hopefully get my vocal cord better (if it was failing 100% of the time the exercises I was given wouldn't have helped, which is what I experienced). I will start my vocal exercises again and hopefully provide an update on whether this disease can actually be cured. In the meantime, unfortunately I only have personal data so cannot update the wiki page to say there is hope. :(
