Picture
[edit]Isn't there a better picture available? warpozio 19:29, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- wow, yeah, that picture isn't the best quality. I'm going to see if I can source a better one. — Timotab Timothy (not Tim dagnabbit!) 03:44, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
Maybe you could ask about using this one - http://www.convivium.org.uk/kgmeetreiner.htm —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nevster (talk • contribs) 03:51, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Pronunciation
[edit]I think it should also go in the article, but how do you pronounce his last name? I've been saying Ka-Ni-Zee-Ah. - JNighthawk 06:53, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
- I've added the IPA pronunciation. — Timotab Timothy (not Tim dagnabbit!) 03:44, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
Elevators?
[edit]I want information about the elevator company “Knizia Strelow” in Essen and not about a board game designer. --84.61.134.10 (talk) 22:07, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
- It's a subsidiary of Schindler Group, as a Wikipedia search shows. http://www.haushahn-gruppe.de/kniziastrelow/ueber_uns.html Laguna CA (talk) 00:42, 15 July 2011 (UTC)

No longer lives in the UK
[edit]According to this podcast/interview, he has moved back to Germany: http://www.boardgamedesignlab.com/bgdl-interviewing-reiner-knizia-for-the-2nd-edition-of-the-board-game-design-advice-book/ (around 15:30) I don't have a second source, but maybe a maintainer of the page is interested in this information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2407:7000:9B97:D600:88B:DDF:124D:B6DF (talk) 08:59, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
"700 games" dubious
[edit]I think the "700 games" statistic should be removed. There's no citation attached to the statement, but I believe the source is https://www.knizia.de/games/ which is referenced elsewhere in the article. In addition to being a primary source, that page is unclear about the meaning of the "700 games" claim--it may mean "we've published 700 games" where "we" may be a multi-person team/company. It may also be counting translations and reprints as separate entries on the 700-count. They may also be counting such things as Monopoly re-themes that they published.
