Sources
[edit]I wrote this page yesterday and I have to say I took some serious time to consider what sources to reference, because it is strongly suggested. But the article also says that any fact that is likely to be challenged should be cited, and I can't see how anyone would challenge the existence of RPO codes, the Camaro Z28, Corvette Z06 or Z71 suspension package. So did I screw up or should I have linked to that picture of a car's RPO codes I found on about.com? It did list some RPO codes, but it didn't explain what they meant and so only serves to validate the existence of RPO codes, something I again don't think anyone would try to deny anyway.Bollinger (talk) 17:52, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
Code
[edit]It always seems to be a letter followed by two digits, or two letters followed by one digit. True? Maikel (talk) 15:31, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
S10?
[edit]Quote: However most RPO codes that are promoted to model names are appearance packages only, and are not related to speed or performance. For example, you could buy a Chevrolet S-10 Xtreme with a 2.2 liter engine.
I don't get this as I am unaware that the S-10 name was derived from an RPO code. Maikel (talk) 15:47, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
UPC?
[edit]Was UPC the predecessor to RPO? This seems to suggest this. Maikel (talk) 16:27, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
Creating Regular Production Option category
[edit]I would suggest to create a category for Regular Production Option. We have variety of optional package for all of General Motor vehicles. This should listed under General Motors category. I will add this to the category section at the article. Rjluna2 (talk) 12:43, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
