Reign vs. Regent

A colleague opined that

Reign is a better suggested target

than Regent, but in terms of the purpose and guidelines for Dabs, Reign is also horrible, and any question of which is better is moot. An article on regency, discussing political scientists' and historians' analysis the importance and pitfalls of the institution or practice would be a valuable addition to WP, and a lk to it would belong on the accompanying Dab page, perhaps as the primary topic. Neither Reign nor Regent, which are fundamentally mere lists rather than articles does, nor is likely to grow into anything that does, except by adding material that really should be in Regency (government) for the time being, and perhaps eventually be renamed to Regency, with the accompanying Dab going to Regency (disambiguation).
