No,no,no! I did this search because; as part of 50th anniversary celebrations the Australian popular music tv show, ‘Countdown’; State Media in Australia is doing many retrospective compilations, as well as some major events. Any way I was watching a mid- 70s compilation there was The NZ band, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, so this told me I wasn’t tripping. I can only postulate that at some point Flea had watched Countdown as a wee bern and the name stuck in his subconscious. On the same episode there was an all-Women post-Punk band called Peaches!
