Talk:Red-vented bulbul
Whenever referencing work on indian birds...
[edit]If you are an avid birdwatcher from India, you have most likely heard of Salim Ali. Any list of Indian birds that makes no reference to his work is seen as...well... incomplete. hydkat 13:52, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
- but if, like me you don't have the book, you can't reference it.jimfbleak 19:08, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
Isospora
[edit]Just wondering about the comment in the article on Isospora listed in the article. Without a reference to species name, this is pretty meaningless. (Pretty much everyone has a Coccidia that they can carry, and there are *lots* of different ones). Ibycus314 (talk) 20:48, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, unfortunately, the cited reference does not seem to have identified it to a species. Shyamal (talk) 04:29, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
Spotted two of these in Houston, Texas Jan. 26, 2014.
[edit]Spotted two of these in Houston, Texas Jan. 26, 2014. The coloration matched precisely the photos in the red-vented bulbul article. A perching bird sang for 3-4 minutes and then a second bird with the same markings arrived to perch with the first at the top of an ornamental bamboo growth about 15 feet tall. They left after ten minutes or so, hopping from their perches before taking wing. A camera was not available. I only add this to Talk because North America is not listed as one of the areas invaded by this bird. Peatbog (talk) 01:07, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
