Singles
[edit]Is it definitely correct that 'Changeling' was released in November 1980? Surely it would have been November 1979? It was the non-charting follow up single to 'Life In A Day' of May 1979 and the next single after 'Changeling' was 'I Travel', which was released in September 1980 from the Empires and Dance album of September 1980. I can't check charts for the time - it didn't chart. Big80sFan (talk) 13:51, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
Album title
[edit]Surely the whole point of the original album title is that its a pun ("Reel to Real" as opposed to "reel to reel", as in reel-to-reel tape recording? Isn't this "new" title just the product of some ignoramus at EMI Virgin?--feline1 14:08, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
I'm confused. Wasn't the original title "Reel To Real Cacophony"? I have this album on vinyl, purchased in 1982, and its title is "Reel to Real Cacophony". 68.148.172.103 (talk) 16:40, 1 June 2011 (UTC)James Birkbeck
Fair use rationale for Image:Realtorealcacophony.jpg
[edit]Image:Realtorealcacophony.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Not a "synth-pop" album
[edit]Someone has added "synth-pop" as a genre based on an article in Paste, which when actually read describes the album as "proto-synth-pop" and a "transition" between post-punk and synth-pop. The supplied Record Collector review also describes the album as a "bridge" between those two genres/eras. It's clearly a rock album that happens to use some synthesizers. Not synth-pop.
