Plagiarism?

[edit]

@ShaneShaneShame: in this edit, you removed material claiming that Ne2ra plagiarized it. The words "However, this was..." to "...an alien experience" does not appear in the source cited for that material. The rest of the sources don't appear to be in English, so it becomes harder to accuse Ne2ra of plagiarism as the material Ne2ra added was in English.

Now, @Ne2ra: "Admittedly, much of the criticism is justified" utterly fails WP:NPOV and does make me worry that you just translated the sources you cited into English instead of summarizing them. That would be plagiarism. Even if you're just summarizing the sources, you need to either remove or attribute the value judgements in proportion to the prominence they appear in sources. The line One critic felt the story was confusing named the film "one of the most distastrous films ever made". is a very good example of this.

@Ian.thomson:, thank you for your kind guidance and reference articles provided. "Admittedly, much of the criticism is justified" was not directly translated into English, it was written based on the subsequent sentences summarizing the two-sided responses to the movie, with references to cited news source and movie reviews. Please do advise if this sentence is inappropriate, of which I shall re-write it.

@Ian.thomson:, would you please kindly review the recent edits by 172.199.152.188. Based on revisions history, several times during its initial release were removed from the first sentence, which was the fact as the cited news on the first few days of movie release, and ALL the good reviews of the movies were removed with comment "improving poorly written prose, summarized and removed fluff", the second paragraph with proper citation was removed entirely without reason. This has happened many times since end of June. Another strange edits - the box office section with reference to another film "Anarchist from Colony" with hyperlinks and all, repetitively gets added to this article.

Misinformation of being "based on a Manhwa webtoons superheroes comic book of the same name"?

[edit]

I was originally supposed to edit just the "Manhwa webtoons superheroes comic book" part for the grammar, but when I checked online, I couldn't find any Korean "superheroes" comic book entitled "Real" -- or any noir manga with the same name at all. I checked up news sources (even in Korean, just to make sure) about the film and none of them mention it being based on a comic book. Backtracking reveals that someone edited the adaptation on February 10, 2019, with the publishing company even changing from "Frontier Works Comics" to even "TMS Comics" before settling on "InfinityOne Comics Entertainment". As mentioned, none of the Korean news outlets ever mention a comic book and this part seems to be unsourced and unverified, so I'll be removing that part until a credible source is added. Also, I looked up what "InfinityOne Comics Entertainment" was and I could only find this IMDb fan list and a random YouTube channel. Troll edit maybe?
