The article (like the other Jandek album reviews) isn't written very encyclopedically. It reads too informally. I don't think sentences like "Oh, and about the notes - you won't find them in any conventional music notation." belong in an encyclopedia entry, considering encyclopedias tend to not directly address the reader. The article is also cluttered with information more relevant to the Jandek and Corwood Industries articles. Is it okay if a re-write/major edit is undertaken to improve the article? - I know nothing about Jandek, but have removed the wannabe-rock-critic stuff from this article and left the facts. Someone with more knowledge will have to do the rest. Perodicticus 11:00, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
"The artist has said in letters that the number was meaningless, though one can suppose it makes Corwood sound like a larger company than if the catalog number had been "#001."
Well, one could speculate other things too. Does this opinion really belong in an encyclopedia entry? I could speculate that there were possibly many earlier recordings and he either arbitrarily chose that number, or chose it for a meaningful reason he doesn't want to divulge. In any case, it's foolish to introduce that speculation on the first paragraph about the first album in the encyclopedia entry. I'll wait a little while for some rationale or discussion of this to emerge, if not, I'll change it. Xproudfoot 13:35, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
