What is meant by: ?
[edit]Can anyone help me find the meaning of the second part of the last sentence of this (stub) article? It is:
"The heat transfer in Rayleigh flow occurs either between unknown temperature to tube but the heat flux maintained constant."
When are sure, please refrase it. If you have an idea but aren't sure, please state it here so we can discuss it. --JorisvS 15:30, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

I have just modified one external link on Rayleigh flow. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/web/20071129223024/http://www.engr.uky.edu/~jdjacob/me530/rayleigh.html to http://www.engr.uky.edu/~jdjacob/me530/rayleigh.html

Not B class
[edit]This article is nowhere near B class - for the simple reason that it has zero in-line citations. Rather it is in grave danger of deletion. 86.130.154.3 (talk) 03:02, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
and anyway . . .
[edit]. . . is the stuff about combustion chamber choking realistic? For T0 = 800 and gamma = 1.4, Tostar is > 3000 K.
(AIUI, (a) combustion technicalities and (b) the pressure loss in the combustion chamber caused by Rayleigh flow are much more important reasoms to keep entry Mach number low).

Don't fear the polynomial . . .
[edit]In the paragraph 'Theory' there is
The above equation can be manipulated to solve for M as a function of H. However, due to the form of the T/T* equation, a complicated multi-root relation is formed
No, it isn't. What is formed is a perfectly straightforward quadratic in M2 with no more than two roots.
