Article says who the individual is, not what they've done. Poorly sourced. Recommend deletion
None of the content is sourced to individual's LinkedIn bio. All sources are third-party organizations and news articles. Tsalimi (talk) 14:57, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
I think the individual is notable in business achievement and media attention. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.46.97.207 (talk) 17:25, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
Notability is clearly established by the plethora of third-party articles about the achievements of Ray Sharma. Tsalimi (talk) 15:12, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

- No, sorry, none of these is a secondary source about him. What we need are articles ABOUT him, not articles that merely quote him in passing fashion. Please read WP:RS and WP:PRIMARY. Thank you. Qworty (talk) 21:52, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
- The Globe and Mail article and Financial Post Article are both About Ray. Therefore they can be included in the wiki. The others he is quoted in and referred to in detail, is there any basis in which those can be included?Awoods88 (talk) 22:25, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, the Globe and Mail and Financial Post discuss him--but they would be used to say what? Qworty (talk) 19:51, 20 February 2013 (UTC)

- This article has now been extensively edited by editors that are clearly not related to the subject and these editors have removed all promotional material that may have once existed on this page. It now conforms to Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy. Furthermore the subject of the articles notability has been established by the abundance of reliable, secondary sources. Please remove the two tags: "neutral point of view" and "notability" from the top of the article as soon as possible. Thank you Awoods88 (talk) 13:58, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
- It's a puff piece and requires a complete overhaul. Qworty (talk) 17:26, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
- you, and other editors have given it a complete overhaul, the entire article now adheres to the guidelines of a wikipedia article. There is no "puff" left , so lets just remove the tags. Awoods88 (talk) 18:47, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
- Uh huh, yeah. That's why the article refers to him as "Ray" and is nothing more than a breathless chronicle of his achievements. It's a PR piece. Qworty (talk) 19:20, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
- So what do you propose be done? and who do you propose do it? Awoods88 (talk) 19:46, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
- I propose that you WP:JUSTDROPIT and WP:WALK. You're a WP:SPA pushing WP:PROMO & WP:COI, and every time you try to push things here, his article just keeps getting shorter. The more I look at this article and its tangential and WP:PRIMARY sourcing, the more I'm convinced that Sharma is not notable per WP guidelines and should have his entire article deleted at AfD. Qworty (talk) 19:51, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
- This article has experienced some serious edit warring for some time now, you no longer seem to have a neutral point of view in relation to this article. I stopped adding to this article long ago and only made suggestions for changes on this talk page, which is perfectly within the wiki guidelines. you on the other hand have become hostile and continue to search out ways to remove content, even going as far as threatening me to remove more content if i don't leave it alone, all in attempts to take away from the subjects obvious notability which is supported by dozens of secondary sources . In light of all this negativity and your inability to accept anything that you don't agree with, your hostility surrounding this articles subject, and your refusal to remove the question of notability tag from this article, when its subject is clearly within the notability requirements of wikipedia, then this article should be removed/deleted as soon as possible. Remove the tags or delete it. Thank you Awoods88 (talk) 13:57, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
- You're not in charge of this article and you don't get to decide anything regarding its retention or deletion. Please read WP:OWN. You could also use a good dose of WP:CIVIL. Thank you. Qworty (talk) 20:48, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
- I have read Wikipedia's Civility page several times thank you. It states editors should always treat each other with consideration and respect, and we should maintain a pleasant editing environment and editors should behave politely, calmly and reasonably. I have upheld to these guidelines of civility. I have actively tried to collaborate with you and other editors to resolve the issues on this article, make suggestions for additions and to focus objectively on the problem at hand. I would like to work together with anyone who is interested to solve the issues but you seem determined not to let me, please hold off on throwing the wikipedia rule book at me with WP:PROMO & WP:COI, i know what it is and dont need the reminder of how you perceive me. I do not want to promote the subject of this article, I have been trying to get the issue of notability resolved, the tag removed, and to move on. Otherwise I will put it up for AfD. Thank you and I apologize for the perceived incivility Awoods88 (talk) 21:20, 25 March 2013 (UTC)

External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Ray Sharma. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
- Attempted to fix sourcing for //http:/www.cbc.ca/newsblogs/politics/inside-politics-blog/2013/03/tbs-prez-tony-clement-talks-open-data-at-first-ever-ministerial-google-hangout.html
- Attempted to fix sourcing for //http:/www.rom.on.ca/en/about-us/rom-leadership/rom-trustees
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}
).
