[edit]Is it Friedberg, I thought it was spelled Friedburg? 71.51.110.141 (talk) 00:01, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
- Google sustains the Friedberg spelling; it refers to German sites. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.14.247.204 (talk) 12:34, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
Fabulous place; lived there for 6 years. Many good friends still there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.240.59.74 (talk) 15:08, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
27 NOV 09: Removed the Colin Powell assigned to Ray Barracks, Friedberg paragraph. In all references, including his own autobiog., My American Journey, Coleman Kaserne at Gelnhausen is cited as the place of Powell's initial 2 year assignment in Germany (1958-60), followed by his going back to the US, and eventually to Vietnam. At Gelnhausen Powell was assigned to the Second Armored Rifle Battalion, 48th Infantry, CCB, 3AD, the same battalion to which I was assigned in the Fall of 1962.
