The California Birth Index on Ancestry.com lists Raven Mone Bowens, born March 24, 1990 in San Diego. I found a source that includes the same information & cited it on here. User:Doolfan1, if you can find a source that proves a different birth year (other than the fact that you know her), please include it on this page. Thank you. Well for one thing, Ancestry.com is a user-generated sight. Which therefore makes it unreliable. The other sources that were being used also don't meet the criteria for WP:DOB or WP:RS as they don't provide any information on how the material is obtained or verified. Which is a huge red flag when it comes to using such pages as a reliable source for BLPs. Also the second source claims she was born in 1995. However this article[1] states that her boyfriend got her to take up acting while she was a senior in high school however he passed away shortly afterwards. Said boyfriend(Todd Doxey) passed away in July 2008.[2] Which makes 1995 being her birth year dubious because she would have been 12-13 at the time.
Per WP:BLPPRIVACY, the number of acceptable sources when it comes to WP:DOB is extremely slim. A truly reliable Secondary source(IE a magazine such as Los Angeles Times or New York Times. And preferably multiple of these) reporting their exact DOB. Or a social media post from the subject themselves where he or she confirms his or her birthday and preferably either his or her age or YOB in the same post as well. Failing either one of those, they should be kept out of the article for now. Kcj5062 (talk) 06:28, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
