[edit]What about Rudrama Devi's husband? I don't know his name but I heard that he was jain from Karnataka. ........................................
The following comment is by ~~unarayanadas~~
Please refer to the third line of the second paragraph. In Telugu "Putrika" means daughter. Rudrama Devi was brought up as a son. The birth of a son is celebrated as "Suputra Jananam" ceremony, not "Putrika Ceremony". Jolly, Julius being an Englishman might not have understood the difference.

Rudrama Devi → Rudhramadevi – Spelling correction and to distinguish easily from Rudhramadevi (film), film based on her story – PK talk 08:11, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). EdJohnston (talk) 18:21, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
- Comment: We need a reliable source for the spelling, perhaps a recent scholarly book. The upcoming film is referred to in different publications as either 'Rudrama Devi' or 'Rudhramadevi.' This doesn't help us standardize on a single spelling. EdJohnston (talk) 18:21, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
- @ EdJohnston: For the spelling of the upcoming film, you can check the official poster at http://www.desimartini.com/photos/rudhramadevi-poster/pd18712.htm PK talk 06:22, 16 September 2014 (UTC)

Velama claims
[edit]Anon accounts, who are probably the same person, keep adding an unsourced statement that Rudrama Devi was of the Velama (caste). This is implausible because no reference to that caste exists before the 17th century. See Price, Pamela (2004). "Kin, Clan, and Power in Colonial South India". In Chatterjee, Indrani (ed.). Unfamiliar Relations: Family and History in South Asia. Rutgers University Press. pp. 193–195. ISBN 978-0-8135-3380-3.. - Sitush (talk) 16:16, 3 September 2016 (UTC)
- After releasing Ganapathi deva from captivity the yadava king of devagiri gave his daughter in marriage to Ganapathi deva and Rani Rudrama devi was born out of that wed lock , it's an original fact which Velamas and kammas should digest , the Kakatiya ruling family in all probability is related to the Reddy clan of those days, the Kakatiyas carrying Rashtrakuta title and Reddy by Prola Reddy 2 nd is proof enough and that upto Rudrama devi the Kakatiya kings employed many generals and samantas of the Reddy clan those days, it's another strong indication of Kakatiya family ancestry because without the support of their clan members it is impossible for any King or ruler to form and establish a dynasty such as the great Kakatiya dynasty.
